Presentation by Stuart Hessney on April 14th, 2024
On April 14, 2024, Stuart Hessney, Editor of Toy Soldier Collector & Historical Figures magazine, was the guest speaker at the OMSS April monthly meeting in Toronto.

Stuart is the Editor of the world's premier magazine for toy soldier collectors around the world.

Stuart and his wife, Sally, travelled to Toronto from their home in upstate New York, a drive of more than seven hours, one-way.

Stuart made a one-hour presentation on Harold Pestano's book about a mythical 19th Century Caribbean land--comprised of seven islands--known as Bermudiana.
Map of Bermudiana
Not only did Harold Pestano write the book Bermudiana but also he created a large collection of whimsical toy soldiers and civilians to accompany his book.
Stuart's presentation was the highlight of the 2024 guest speaker series at the Toronto OMSS monthly meetings.

Stuart's presentation was recorded and it was subsequently made into a four-part series on the Ontario Model Soldier Society YouTube channel.
