It has been five months since I attended the December 2023 London Toy Soldier Show but you can watch a YouTube video from the March 2024 London Toy Soldier Show.
This video is Part One of a three-part series on the BigJon007 YouTube channel.

The next London show will not be in London this summer but rather at Stoke-on-Trent in the Midlands. While the change of venue will be a travel challenge to many in the greater London area and south England, ti could prove a facilitator to hobbyists from those other parts of the UK who are loath to make the journey to London. It will be interesting to see how this summer show fares in terms of attendance and vendor participation. Again, check out the BigJon007 YouTube channel after the show for his videos.
As I spoke about in my video of the December London show, it's worth the visit. Yes, London is an expensive city to visit for those of us on the wrong side of the Atlantic and there is the added burden of flying. Attendance regardless of where you are from takes planning, patience, and pounds (the sterling ones).
I have done four shows and while I'm not exactly a London Toy Soldier Show expert, I have enjoyed every show that I have attended. For me, the show provides the opportunity to speak with the makers and see the type of figures that interest me and potentially enhance my collection. As many of you know, my collection is mostly gloss, 54 mm, 1/35th scale, and this is largely the sweet spot of the LondonToy Soldier Show. Makers such as RP, Fusilier Miniatures, Tommy Atkins, Asset, Replica Metal Soldiers, Alexander Toy Soldiers, and others can be found at the London show and this makes it my candy store. There's also the added benefit that if I have pre-ordered a set from a UK maker, I can pick it up at the show.
If you have never been to the London show, or haven't been there in a long time, then start costing out travel to the December 2024 event. Yes, you can save some money by staying outside the downtown London core, buying airline tickets in advance and watching the currency rates. I tend to think of the show as part of a holiday in England, visit a few friends, see the sights of London, and maybe do a bit of Christmas shopping. Here is the video I uploaded on the Scott's Soldiers YouTube channel about the 2023 London Toy Soldier Show.
